Can Looki be used on two phones?
No, Looki L1 does not support being connected to two phones at the same time.
Once it is paired with one phone, it will not be discoverable or connectable by another phone unless it is unpaired first.
Will the other party know if I'm recording?
Looki is designed with user privacy in mind. When recording through Story Mode, the built-in Trust Light will blink to visibly indicate that the device is capturing. This light cannot be turned off.
Does Looki L1 record automatically?
By default, L1 does not record continuously. Recording happens in specific interval modes called Story Mode, which you can activate manually via the app or device. But you can turn on continuously recording when you want to.
Is Looki L1 waterproof?
Looki L1 is rated IP67 water- and dust-resistant, which means it can handle:
- Rainy weather
- Accidental splashes
- Brief submersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes
How does Looki protect my privacy?
Looki is designed with privacy-first principles, both in hardware and in data processing.
- When recording is active, L1’s Trust Light will blink to visibly notify people nearby. This indicator cannot be disabled, ensuring transparency in public or shared spaces.
- All footage and audio are first stored locally on the device. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud unless you explicitly choose to sync it via the Looki App.
- When cloud is enabled, all data is encrypted and securely stored on AWS, with servers located in your country or region, in compliance with local data laws and best practices.

Can I use Looki without a subscription?
Yes. Looki offers a free plan (Essential) that includes basic storage and AI capabilities.
Is there an indicator when the battery is low?
Yes. You’ll see a notification in the app and the light indicators on the L1 when the battery is running low. We recommend charging regularly to avoid missing moments.
How long is the warranty?
All Looki L1 devices come with a 1-year limited warranty, or 2 years if purchased within the EU/EFTA. Infinity plan subscribers enjoy an additional 6 months of extended warranty.
